I feel Like Chicken Tonight – Chicken Recipes For Dinner!
April 14, 2011 10:10 am arts and entertainment newsChicken is one of the most purchased meats in the world. It’s also one of the least expensive of the white meats, and contains a plethora of great nutrients the body needs. Many people substitute chicken for red meat because it’s healthier, and others simply just love chicken!
You can find great chicken recipes for dinner in a range of great places. One is to go into your local grocery store- you may want to spend a day just out and about looking for recipe cards (often in the aisle with coupons for chicken!). This shouldn’t be a chore, but rather an adventure in seeing what stores in town you’ve never been to have! You can also price shop for chicken to use in the recipe!
You can also ask all your friends, go to thrift stores and buy (usually for under 1.00) cook books that have a plentora of recipes for chicken and many other great dishes. You should find something that shows you a range of chicken side dishes too- as the side dishes tend to define the chickens taste in part.
The best way- however, is to jump on the internet, launch Google’s search engine, then do a search for “chicken recipes for dinner” and you’ll land literally thousands of pages full of great recipes. Overwhelming you may ask? Sure, it can be, but it’s all in “how” you filter. Google, first of all, has the most amazing algorythim ever. They can do a search within a site specifically that will work better than their internal search engine.
What you do is start with a broad search. Once you do that start reading the list of links, usually they are self esplanatory and include a short synopsis of the sites information- before you click in. Use this to get an idea of what “appeals” to you. Start writing down key phrases you find (or you can start clicking into the sites that appeal to you right off the bat, but still make a list for further searches if you don’t find what your looking for there.
From your list start complicating your google search phrase. For example, type “chicken recipes” first, then if you want recipes for dinner state “chicken recipes for dinner” then if you want a specific type of chicken recipe- i.e. breast of chicken, bbq chicken (and bbq recipes used with chicken specifically), then enter something like “Chicken Breast BBQ Recipes For Dinner Oven” the joiner words are ignored by google so feel free to leave them out i.e. of, with, a, and, the, with, and so on…
Once you find what your looking for you will often get more ideas and can tangent out. You can spend a whole day compiling your recipes. Often sites will have a way to print it out, but you can simply bookmark the page and create a bookmark folder called “chicken recipes” and create sub folders like “BBQ”"Chipolte” and the like. You will in essence be building a vurtual cookbook tailored specifically to your needs, desires, tastes, and hand picked!
