When you get beyond that stage of infatuation and you're not sure if you can breathe without that person in the room.... You start to think, 'Wow, I'm looking at things that I refused to look at before and I'm growing as a result of it.' I think that is the definition of love.

For this production, he was relocated to Florida, but as soon as production stopped in 1991, Ryan returned back to Vancouver, There, he appeared on some TV series like The Odyssey or Ordinary Magic, as well as a small role in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. His career was however moving slowly.

After a suggestion from friends, Ryan went to Hollywood Hills. He might had a hard time there at start, but his success raised rapidly when he go a main role in Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place in 1997, where he played Berg.

In 2003, Ryan has been approached for one main role in the third installment of the Blade series. Successfully cast for this role, he began an every day intensive workout training to finally start filming Blade Trinity in 2004. The finale of the serie has been a huge success.
